A Letter FROM Pastor Moore and First Lady Hope
After much prayer, reflection, and consultation with our family, First Lady Hope and I believe the time has come for us to transition into a new season of life and ministry. Serving as your Pastor and First Lady for the past 35 years has been one of the greatest privileges and blessings of our lives. Together, we have journeyed through seasons of growth, change, and transformation. We have celebrated weddings, baptisms, baby dedications, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, and many other memorable, both large and small life achievements. We have mourned the loss of loved ones and comforted one another in times of unimaginable sorrow. We have worshiped together, studied together, and served together. Through it all, we have been united by our love for God and our commitment to living out His Word in our lives, the Church, and the community.
As your Pastor, I am extremely grateful for the love, support, and encouragement you have shown me and my family throughout these 35 years. Your faithfulness and dedication to our church has been a wonderful inspiration to me, and I am confident that our congregation will continue to thrive under new leadership, especially as we keep our hearts and walks tethered tightly to God.
As Hope and I prepare to retire, we do so with a sense of heartfelt gratitude. We will always cherish the many expressions of love shown to us, the rich memories of our time together here and the innumerable ways in which God has worked in and through our church.
May God bless each of you richly and continue to guide and strengthen our church as we continue to be a beacon of light, leadership, and hope in our community.
With deepest gratitude and affection,
Rev. Dr. Clarence C. Moore, Lead Pastor
